GEM Inc. coordinated a helicopter lift to place a cooling tower on the roof of the former Grand Plaza Hotel. GEM also is replacing fan coil units, and performing electrical and miscellaneous plumbing repairs as part of the hotel renovation. Work will be complete in March 2017. Rudolph Libbe Inc. recently completed demolition and preliminary sitework at the 13-floor hotel.
